MP #2 Reflection- Looking Back and Moving Forward

1. Reflect on the 2nd mp & the work we did around Invisible Man. Be sure to cover such topics as the material work ethic, your successes and challenges, etc...

2. Take a look at the 1st semester--what did you do well? What areas could you improve?

3. Looking towards the 2nd semester--what are you going to need to do to stay engaged and on top of your schoolwork? What challenges may you face?

The work done around Invisible Man and the 2nd mp was very intense. The material wasn't that hard but there was just a lot of it. I think my successes for the most part was getting the work done. The challenges was getting it done in a reasonable amount of time.
The first semester was more challenging than s

IM Section VI

On your blog, please post a response to the following:

In your opinion, what was the most
1. important
2. intense
3. confusing

scene from Part VI of IM. Why? Give support for your answer.

In my opinion the most important scene would be when there is the rally at Clifton's funeral.
I think that the most intense scene would be the scene between Sybil and the narrator, when they have their encounter. That could also be the most confusing scene. Because she is neglected and wants to have a weird encounter with a black man ,

2. What did you learn by following current blogs and websites?

3. What would you change for next year?

4. Can you see yourself continuing with this on your own?

Blog Post 3-"Nutcracker" Riddles With Many Answers

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/03/arts/dance/03nutcracker.html?partner=rss&emc=rss
The Nutcracker is about how christmas time there are mice, toy soldiers, and growing christmas trees. During the ballet, the music that is used is Tchaikovsky's music. Some of the transformations that are made, are the Nutracker transforming from that into a prince. The point of the story is that the prince learns about the art of dance and transforms after that into a prince.

Two questions that I have are why do they make the Nutcracker such a simple story but it is hard to understand for some? How is the nutracker a comedy?

Blog Post 2-Michael Jackson Autopsy Documentary Postponed Indefinitely

http://www.popeater.com/2011/01/03/michael-jackson-autopsy-documentary-postponed/

The controversial medical documentary about Michael Jacksons autopsy isn't going to be played at all. The Discovery television network announced Dec. 31 that it will no longer air the show. Originally The Discovery network was going to air the documentary sometime in January. Before they decided to finally stop production, there was an online petition against the documentary.

Some questions that I have are what would everybody gain out of seeing a reinactment of Michael Jackson's autopsy. Why would people consider exposing peoples lives this much in the first place? Was it specifically the online petition that prevented this?

The Discovery Channel in Europe is planned to air a TV special on Jan. 13 called 'Michael Jackson's Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson,' which includes a reenactment of Michael Jackson's autopsy.

Blog Post 1-Goldman Invests In Facebook at $50 Billion Valuation

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/03/facebook-valuation-goldman_n_803447.html

In a deal with Goldman Sachs and a Russian investor, Facebook has raised $500 million and the company itself is now worth $50 billion. This makes Facebook worth more than eBay, and Yahoo. According to the article this will give Facebook more "firepower" to develop new products and do more things with the company.
Questions I have are if users of Facebook don't have to pay to use Facebook , why is so much money always being invested in it? And will Facebook eventually cost money?

This article says that the shares of Facebook stock are now at 21.90 but by the next week they will be 40 cents cheaper
